I recently had a stressful experience when my car suddenly died, leaving me stranded on a busy road. After calling Onyx Automotive, they immediately took control of the situation. I want to specifically thank Gurpreet and Kulwinder for their professionalism and expertise. They arranged a tow truck for me at a very reasonable price and quickly diagnosed the issue once the vehicle arrived at the shop. The repair was completed efficiently, and the communication throughout the process was excellent. It is rare to find a repair shop that offers such high-quality service and honest pricing during an emergency. My car battery died in the Costo parking lot this past Saturday night and a service guy from Onyx promptly came to me on site, jump started my car and I drove it to their lot to be fixed. This man went above and beyond - he answered my call right at their closing time, showed up at Costco and then offered me a ride home with all of my groceries! They replaced both batteries and completed Service B on my car (which I requested). Truly amazing service and highly exceptional staff who provide honest and fair pricing. They appear to be more knowledgeable, transparent and honest than Mercedes Benz service. My go-to shop for all of my service needs. Thank you!! ~ M A

An elderly man came in while I was waiting for my car, complaining about a grinding noise involving his steering. The owner dropped what he was doing and took a look at his car. He came back and told the gentleman that there was something hanging down in the wheel well and offered to fix it for 30$. He could of totally fleeced this guy without me being none the wiser. This shop is honest and this is reflected with their A+rating with the Better Business Bereau . He did my timing belt and water pump on my Audi for 950 bucks - about half of what they would charge at the Audi dealership. I won't be taking my car anywhere else. ~ Nicolas E

I live out of province and had a vehicle dropped off for a prepurchase inspection on my behalf. The seller warned me ahead of time about a couple of minor issues with the vehicle. They did a great job of inspecting the vehicle and found all of the problems that I had been warned about. The vehicle had also been partially resprayed as part of an insurance claim, and they warned me about some substandard paintwork and a misaligned hood. After the paint and hood were fixed they reinspected the vehicle for no additional charge. I had a great experience at Onyx Automotive and would not hesitate to go there again. ~ Matthew H

I've had my 2007 Mini Cooper S serviced here a few times now and have been very impressed with the professionalism, speed and cost of the service and repairs. Seyar is very passionate about cars and very serious about doing a great job diagnosing and fixing them. His team are knowledgeable and make daunting work look easy. I highly recommend them for your next automotive trouble. Just note that they are very busy and work almost exclusively on German-made cars. I recommend giving them a call to book an appointment to resolve any mystery issue. ~ Alexander B

I am an electrician who works for a new business and we are SO busy. One of our vans needed servicing so I called this place because of the high rating. I asked for a maintainance servicing (oil change, to check a light that kept coming on, ect.) and because they were already fully booked they werent sure they could accomplish same day service. I left it with them for a few hours and when I called to check, they said it was all taken care of! What a relief. These guys are so professional and polite. Sal and his team are an outstanding bunch of people. I had vehicle failures down in Surrey and I couldn’t get a couple bolts out so I swing into Onyx to have a chat. Even though they had over 8 vehicles in the air in front of me they took time out of the day to take a few minutes to address my concerns. Although they couldn’t resolve the issues I had there they gave me some great pointers and I was able to resolve my issues around the corner in a parking lot. We own three BMWs right now and continue to do so because ONYX can fix them. We use BMW dealer service years ago but found that ONYX offers better service over all. One dealer wanted to charge me $600 plus to hook up their diagnostic but ONYX fixed the issue for way under that. They also offer excellent affordable third party extended warranty. The BMW extended warranty was so bad and expensive. Some of the work that should have been covered by the BMW extended warranty was being put off by the BMW dealers. If you own a German car, do yourself a favor and try ONYX. ~ ROLANDO S

I bought a 2013 GLK250 from Onyx a couple of months ago. The staff and owner made it a simple process and were honest about the vehicle. They showed me the car fax report and the inspection report of the inspection they performed. My only complaint is that they didnt do an oil change on the vehicle before I bought it but I would assume that is because they had it less than a week because it was a previous trade in. Overall I would definately recommend them to people I know and wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again. ~ Colin W

I just moved to Surrey from a Nelson, BC and I took my recently purchased Mini Cooper for an unexplained idle issue, the CEL's were telling me to replace expensive parts. They spent a good amount of time diagnosing it and ended up needing a software update from Mini that they were able to flash for me. Resonably charged for the diagnosis and repair. Works amazing, great communication and service! Was a little worried going to a new mechanic but Onyx is now my go to and preffed shop.... anywhere. Thank you. ~ Brandyn P

Great experience, my second experience with Onyx, i recently bought a used Honda odyssey unknown to me that the car has tons of mechanical fault, i visited 3 mechanic workshop but there price is 2xe more of what onyx priced me, Onyx fixed the problem and i m more than happy to deal with them, i will keep using Onyx and create awareness to people who are looking for a reliable and trustworthy mechanic. I bought a 2012 BMW 650i convertible April 2021 from Onyx...beautiful car! Turned out to have some electrical glitches though where the battery was always draining. The Onyx staff spent hours trying to diagnose problem at little cost to me. They solved the issue even when the BMW dealership could not. Any service will always be done through Onyx. CR is very knowledgeable and supportive in addressing any situation you might have. Highly recommended. ~ Scott

Several mechanics told me to change my Mazda 3 ingain because it never turned on for several weeks. Spend too much for tow track and getting tired and disappointed. Finally I got my car fixed with this guys in an hour. There was small problem with technical Issues on ingine wiering. I love the honesty. Money is not an issue, being so dishonest ruin your time, wasting your money and destroy your scedual. These people are honest. ~ Hadi A

Amazing shop. Went in to do a bunch of work on my 325i. The shop was knowledgeable and accommodating. As was asked of me they kept me updated on the progress and did not push me to get any work done it was all up to me. Coming from a mechanical background myself I have to say these guys are legit and they love what they do. Did a major job there, got a very fair price, good service and they did a great job polishing my car up. I found them to be very thorough and to use good judgment. Even better, I had some loose components in the steering column- unrelated to the service they were performing- and they tightened them up as a matter of course; good attention to detail. This guy has been my main mechanic for my BMW. For a while, it's always been just regular maintenance and they did a very good job for amazing price. When I had my first bigger maintenance, this is where they demonstrated their expertise and knowledge. They took their time to explain and educate me. My experience at Onyx Automotive was fantastic from start to finish! I had supplied my own parts (high pressure fuel pump and cam follower for a Santa Fe) and the guys went above and beyond to fix what another shop had botched. Very impressed with the owner staying an hour after closing, so I could pick up the car. He even took the time to show me what had been repaired and how it was done. Had a engine oil leak in my 6series bmw... did a amazing job! Very intelligent staff.. they diagnosed the most cost-effective way and made me feel comfortable.. put my mind to ease. Initially I posted a bad review because of some miscommunication but the owner Sier more than made up for that. I had an issue with a squeeky steering wheel and Sier personally took care of it himself and it's finally fixed. No other shop even bothered to properly diagnose the issue, but Onyx Auto took care of the problem. I would like to take my business here in the future ~ Z

Got some work done there, today. Friendly staff, got the fix done ASAP. I felt they were honest and had my best interests in mind. There was some miscommunication on when to bring the car in, but the staff was apologetic and insured I had a good customer experience.
